Fresno Unified CoderClubs STEAM Fair took place February 25th, 2023 at Bullard High. Our students this year had an opportunity to “Make the World a Better Place” by creating STEAM/STEM projects that focused on a social problem. From using robots to tell stories, 3D design to create prosthesis prototypes, 3D printers to print conversation hearts with inspirational quotes, to Arnuinos to create a Retina Reader.
Students explored different technology to find solutions to problems they saw in their community or school. Other than focusing on the technology aspect of this fair, our students learned ways to be more open-minded and show empathy, equity, inclusivity, compassion, conflict resolution, and social awareness among others.
While students were learning about “Making the World a Better Place” they also practiced their social skills like critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. Essential skills for the workforce.
